We got one!

So, here's the little "stinker"...
We haven't smelled any more, so maybe he was living alone under our house. Ocassionally he must have invited a cat or possom over for dinner because that is all we caught in the trap the first two nights. Then the third night we got him. What an interesting adventure. Pew! That is one of the nastiest smells we've EVER encountered - and right outside our front door! Yuck!

DTS in Belize anyone???

Hey, we want to spread the word that there will be a a DTS in Belize, beginning on July 17th. Please tell all the young people you know! (Especially those who might be interested in a DTS)! We are so eager to get back to Belize and DTS is such a strong passion for us. We love working in DTS and it's a joy for us to jump behind some radical young believers!
We kindly ask that you pass the word to anyone you know about the possibility of doing at DTS with us in Belize. They can contact us jsandrews5@gmail.com, check this blogspot, email the YWAM base in Belize ywam@btl.net , get on their website (the link is right over on the other column). Encourage them to get the ball rolling on this exciting adventure!
Just want to let you all know and get in on investing into some good soil of young peoples lives and destiny! Thanks!

Skunk Hunt!

Yep, you read correct - SKUNK HUNT! We have a house mate... or "mates." The other night Jason and I heard a strange "scratching" sound come from under out house. We heard something sound like it was trying to come up the heater vent in our room. Soon after we heard some tiny squeeking and THE terrible smell associated with those vicious little black and white creatures! That explains why our room was always stinky (no matter how much I cleaned it)! And it also explains why the heat never seemed to be coming into our room, the skunks have torn the heating ducts to make their part of the house a little more cozy!
We have 3 traps set but so far all we have caught are the neighbors cats! We will be sure to keep you posted....!

A few thoughts from Jason

Below are a few thoughts that we pray would encourage and stir your heart to deeper level of pursuing God first and His purpose for our nations. (It's a bit long so... more thoughts in later posts).

I pray that all is well as we seek to cooperate with the Trinity and see the dreams of God become a reality in our Nation. Knowing that our King is the rightful ruler of all the universe and that He is the final authority brings strength to our hearts as we fight to secure the reality of His rulership in this world. May I encourage us that when we walk in obedience to Him it is not only a 'good thing' or a 'wise thing' we are simply living within our created design. This results in a life of peace and fulfillment in Him, having a loving relationship with Him and one another. God has a plan for our Nation and his heart longs to see man live their life in holiness and truth. Only then can we live up to our true value as beings created in his own image. Our purpose is to be in an intimate loving, internal relationship with God. ('Internal' meaning that God is not impressed with our external action if it is not flowing from a heart of intimacy and truth). So we lean forward in doing physical works with the motivation to bring joy to his heart and to advance his kingdom.
But history has shown us how easy it is for us to get carried away in just work and going through the motions. We seem to end up trying to relate to God by our physical actions or external endeavors. No one is exempt from this, that is why I believe Paul encouraged us to examine ourself to see wheather or not we remain in the faith. Keeping our priority of seeking His face and hearing His voice is so essential for kingdom advancement.
I share this so we can see how great of a responsibility we carry to see the next Generation discipled and our Nations transformed. Some things for us to keep in mind...

HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO!!!

On New Years eve we all stayed up to ring in the New Year (even the kids)! We made funny hats, ate Chex Mix and watched the fire works at the Space Needle on TV. We had a blast and then ran home to jump in bed. I would be willing to bet we were in bed by 12:15am! Anyways, it was fun - you can tell by our pretty hats!

Back in "Rose City"

Hey everyone! We're back in Tyler, Texas (aka "Rose City"). We had great flights down here. On the second flight there were only 8 passengers (keep in mind we are a family of 5)! The flight attendant asked us to move to the back of the plane to help distibute the weight. (Should I be offended????!) Thanks for your prayers.... more later, it's time to play with Thomas the train!

We went up to Bon John pass this weekend for a fun filled day of sledding and playing in the snow (since it didn't snow on the Island the ENTIRE time we've been here).

Jason finally did something he's always wanted to do - have a good cup of coffee in the snow!

We all had a great day! Thanks mom, dad, Danny and Suzy... for making the trip up there with us! It was most memorable...!

Hey! Merry Christmas from the Andrews and have a blessed 2007!
