Helping Clear the Land

Here's a quick update to keep you in the loop. Things are going well down here in Belize and we continue to seek God for His purposes as a family and for our nation. Thank you so much for your friendship, we are always so excited to share of God's faithfulness to us and to Belize.

HAWAII On August 29th I will travel to Hawaii to attend the YWAM Prayer and Strategy Conference in Kona. This is a very exciting opportunity and I are honored by the invitation to represent the Caribbean alongside our regional director Bill Landis. Spending time with him and other YWAM leaders is always a joy, and I am especially eager to sit before the Lord with these leaders and ask for God's vision and heart as we plan and strategize for the future of YWAM internationally.
Please continue to pray for this trip and our family, as the Lord leads you. We are still in need of some finances to cover the hotel and food expenses for this trip and ask if you would join your faith with ours in this time. Sara and the children will stay in Belize and welcome her mom who arrives the day I leave.

GEORGETOWN Jason is in Georgetown this week, with the DTS on a local outreach/lecture phase week. (Georgetown is a small Garifuna village in southern Belize). The guest speaker, Larry Allen from the School of the Bible in Tyler, Texas is sharing with our students AND some young people from Georgetown, whom we know through Legacy. It's a beautiful moment of time with the blend of cultures coming together at the feet of Jesus to learn of the Fathers love. The group will return to YWAM on Friday.

UNIVERSITY On Monday morning Jason went to the University of Belize to register for his first semester of "official" classes. He is enrolled part time, and we thank God for the opportunity to "get a foot in the door" at that institution, even as the new YWAM Belmopan campus is taking shape. Our heart continues to grow in passion and vision for the UB students as we recognize the future leaders of this nation are currently being educated at this school. The cover of the orientation packet, handed to me Monday morning, confirmed these exact thoughts, it reads: "Poised for New Horizons: Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders".

Thank you so much for your prayers for our family in this time. Again we love you all and pray that you are blessed and encouraged by what the Lord is doing among us. We look forward to hearing what the Lord is doing in YOUR life, as together we seek to make His love known on the earth.

Blessings and love,
The Andrews
