This is a vibrant, youth talk show addressing current issues that that generation is facing. Tune in (in you can) and PRAY if you can't! ;) Together let's stand beside the youth and see them fulfill their God given destiny!

Influence or being Influenced?

Alright, it's coming up! The next Legacy Youth Conference will be happening November 20th - 22nd. Would you PLEASE being praying with us for this time? It will be all age groups, so we're expecting a full house (literally!) Some of our close friends are coming from the States to visit during this time and we're just really excited for what God wants to do. Looking foward to reporting back as we touch this generation with God's truth!

Home School in Belize

Hi friends!
We are praying and planning for next years school curriculum and have taken the big step of ordering the books (Sonlight and Abeka). There is a certain 3rd grader in the house who “just can’t wait to get the books”!
In assessing our finances for the upcoming school year we began to feel a bit overwhelmed. The bill for this year totals about $800. It came to our mind to “just ask” if anyone would be interested in joining us with our kids educational costs.

* Perhaps 8 people would give $100 every July for the kids school.
* Someone could “sponsor a child” and cover the cost of their education for a year.
* Maybe you can give a little one time gift to help, that’s GREAT!
We know God is a creative God and His heart is to see our children enjoy learning. It will be exciting to see how He will work in this great adventure! Thank you for your friendship and support!

With love,
Jason, Sara, Keilah, Judah & Elijah

Mi Vida Loca!

So... here at YWAM Belize we live quite the "jungle life" sometimes. Recently, they found another large snake on the base and our Taiwanese friend decided to cook it for us! Tell me, WHO GETS TO EXPERIENCE THESE THINGS?! Life with Jesus is sure an adventure! What's not to love about it?

Legacy Conference ages 16 and up

What an INCREDIBLE weekend. There were so many highlights it's hard to pinpoint just a few to share about... I guess we'll start with what comes to mind first and go from there!

He way sitting alone, reading his Bible, had his earphones on. As I walked by he asked me if he could talk to me for a minute. He said he was from Roaring Creek and was stirred when Jason shared about DTS during the morning anouncements. He told me he was tired of just doing nothing with his life in the village and wanted to find God in a deeper way.

"By the way" he said "I remember you from years back."

He shared with me how he was one of the young boys who use to hang around Jason and Scott for JJ Boys. He told me about the times he came to our house for camp fires and outside movies.

"You and Jason really encourage me, your family, your life... you've got your three children and you're still together... I just really want a change in my life."

I cannot explain how humbled I felt in that moment. God you alone are worthy of all praise, may our life honor you in all ways and bring glory to you on the face of the earth. You never know what fruit will come out of your labor, years later...!

The praise and worship times were incredible as well. This was my first time on the worship team for Legacy and I'm truly blessed to have been able to serve God's plans in that way. If you've never been to a Legacy conference and seen or FELT that passionate cry arising from a room full of youth you have missed out on something truly powerful. How can God NOT respond to that?! His children crying out for Him, desperately seeking His face... THAT is God's heart too! The youth "colided with God's Presence" this weekend and the effects were indescribable.

We've been reading a book and pondering over the theme of a "coaching" style of leadership. Asking more questions and giving less answers. When Jason began the final session of wrapping up the conference and processing what God had spoken during the weekend, God absolutely lifted the lid entirely off these young people's minds! The Spirit of God began moving, convicting, encouraging, .... youth began ministering to and encourageing one another. Many of them stood together at one point, and repented for worshiping idols (namely musicians and friends). It was ABSOLUTELY one of the more powerful times we've had in Legacy and we're honored to play a tiny role in it all.
Thank you for your prayers as we look ahead to the 13-15 age group conference in a few weeks.
Blessings and love,
The Andrews

Mobile DTS January 2010!

Ok... so Jason and I are planning a "mobile DTS"! Basically, it's a normal DTS but we'll be on the road for the entire school. We'll do 2 weeks of lecture and 2 weeks of outreach in Belize then move on to another nation in the Caribbean! We'll do 2 weeks of lecture and 2 weeks of outreach in that nation and move on... preaching the good news of the kingdom....! (Mt. 9:35-36)
Pray about joining us or ask God if YOU know a young person who would be interesting in this DTS! Spread the news about this school and together we'll MAKE AN IMPACT!

So You Think You Can Dance?

Hello from YWAM Belize!

We are excited to share with you an amazing opportunity for ministry through dance. Do you know of someone with classical ballet, modern, jazz, tap or hip hop training, someone who loves children, and has a desire to travel to a new nation?

En Croix Dance School (formerly Dramatic Force) has been training young Belizeans in the areas of Ballet, Modern, Hip hop and jazz for over 8 years. We have been blessed with wonderful teachers who have taken a year of their lives to come and pour themselves into the creative arts in Belize. This coming year we have an opportunity for teachers to come and teach in our school. Last year we had over 60 students enrolled with classes running from Mondays to Saturdays. Our new school year will begin September/October 2009.

We are excited to see what God has in store for this next season!

Those who are interested may contact Patti George at influencenations@hotmail.com OR 501-623-5610.

Come and join us!

Thank you,

En Croix School of Dance

Family Portrait!

Awesome God!

Hi guys! We just wanted to share a SERIOUS praise report with you! We got good news today! Remember YWAM belize bought the 4 acres of land in Belmopan early last year? Well, we still owed them $20,000usd, which we have continued to save up to finish the payment. Today we got an email from the land owners saying that they are forgiving the debt for the land!!! They are going transfer the land over to us and we're CLEAR! We're all pretty much in awe, it still hasn't sunk in but we're SOOOO excited!!!! We have been setting aside money to pay them back but now all that money can go directly into the new dance studio building!!! Isn't that cool?!!! We're sooo grateful to God for His faithfulness and provision! Wooo hooooo! What miracles has God been doing in YOUR life, we're anxious to celebrate with you! Talk to you later!

Holy Saturday

Saturday morning is the annual Cross Country Bike Race. Everyone gets dressed up in their new clothes and heads out to the high way at 6:30 in the morning to see the bikers race by! It's truly a thrilling event, one that we enjoy "participating" in each Holy Saturday!

The March Legacy Conference

Have you ever been in an earthquake? Incredible feeling, huh? That is what worship felt like on Saturday night at the Legacy conference. Standing in the midst of 85 young Belizeans. Worshiping at the top of their voice and dancing shamelessly, the whole building was shaking! (I’m glad we braced up the flooring)! You know the song:

“Behold he comes riding on the clouds, shining like the sun at the trumpet call lift your voice in the year of Jubilee out of Zion’s hill salvation comes”.

The passion arising from that room brought tears to my eyes. Then came the victory cry! That shout, the cries, the dancing, the clapping, the joy, the energy of these youth! It was contagious, and dangerous! I’m sure the enemy felt it too! It didn’t stop there, after an hour of rejoicing they moved into a time of worship, then an action packed teaching session from a vibrant local pastor then more worship and ministry! We know that something took place in the spiritual realm this weekend, as well as in the individual lives of the youth in attendance. (How can it NOT with such willing hearts?!) Four youth gave their lives to the Lord this weekend, a handful rededicated their lives to Him, countless others repented for living for themselves. Of course we’re dead tired, hours upon hours of worship, intercession, prayer, work, discipleship, volley ball!... It’s all worth it. Every prayer, every dollar, every tear, every drop of sweat, every burned building and broken windshield… it will ALWAYS be worth it! Thank you too for praying with us, it’s made a difference in our life, in their lives, in the lives and destiny of this nation. May God multiply back to you that which you have sown one hundred fold. We are grateful for your faithfulness.

Blessings and love from Belize,

Jason & Sara

Fire at YWAM

Yes, our kitchen/dining area is all gone... were were heading to Placencia for our staff retreat and the gas company came to fill up the gas tank at the base. They did not realize that we have a new water heater outside, so the heater exploded and the kitchen caught on fire. Everything is gone. We got a call from a friend that saw the fire, as we arrived Placencia. Santi turned back to the base, our campus was withouth water and electricity and a team was coming in the same day! We've had several groups and individuals come over and help us begin the the clean up process. Legacy is coming this weekend so we're trying to set up a temporary kitchen in the game room! It's gonna be GREAT! We'll keep you updated. For now please thank God with us for His protection and provision!

Staff Retreat! SERIOUSLY!

Ok, so in 2 weeks we're having our staff retreat at this resort outside of Placencia http://www.bellamayareort.com/ . Jason and I HAD to go down there to check it out, set up some stuff, and make a reservation for our group. It was so nice to get away, (especially after such a crazy week leading up to YC). So, as you can see by the pictures we had a WONDERFUL time and look forward to the staff retreat on March 2nd! Yeah!

YC Belize - PASSION

Well, here it is.... some pictures of YC. Jason was there all weekend, literally didn't see him from Friday morning till Sunday morning! But... man, it's all worth it. Young people of Belize - we desperately love you!
