Can you believe it’s the end of 2007? Where did the time go? A full recap of this year would be virtually impossible in an update like this! We spent last Christmas in Seattle, on break from School of the Bible in Texas. In July we drove back to our beloved country, YWAM base and friends in Belize. Upon arrival we were welcomed by our cousin, Arthur from Seattle who came to do the DTS. Days later our niece, Mirra arrived to spend a few months with us. Not long after that our parents came down for a visit as well. It’s a joy to have family and friends visit and experience life with us in Belize!
LEGACY and YOUTH We had several Legacy Conferences this year, each very powerful and impacting. We felt something shift in the young people as their hearts grew more confident in Who God truly is and continue to comprehend His love for them. For the record: it rained at EVERY Legacy conference this year, as it has since Legacy began! (See the kids swimming in the puddles below!) . Jason continues to speak at the high school in Belmopan, as other schools are calling to set up classes for the new year. This has been an amazing opportunity to touch the lives of the young people right where they are at. We are grateful to God for opening these doors and want to speak His love to these students.
DTS We had 8 wonderful students this year, 4 Belizeans and 4 North Americans. We are honored to lead the DTS each year, it’s and wonderful experience! Lecture phase was not easy but the students embraced the challenge and are radically transformed. For outreach the DTS helped with hurricane relief work in northern Belize, later went to Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Cuba. Jason jumped in at the last minute to lead the team to Cuba. It was a sudden trip but he was thankful to be able to touch Cuba again. Graduation was December 7th and we finished out that season with a sense of fulfillment and peace that comes upon completing a task given by God. These are tremendous students and we see much fruit in their lives, may all praise and glory be given to God.
YWAM BELMOPAN YWAM has prayerfully decided to purchase 4.5 acres of land in Belmopan. Presently, we have ample opportunity to speak into the lives of young people this land will help the focused effort of impacting youth in the capital and University of Belize. We believe God to help us raise $100,000bz by the end of the year. Our family will move into Belmopan to start the new YWAM campus as soon as papers are finalized. The vision for this piece of property is multi-facetted and we’re continually asking God for His strategy and plans.
YWAM DANCE STUDIO As a first step, YWAM purchased and now directs the Performing Arts Company in Belmopan which will eventually be located on the new YWAM campus. We have jumped in by providing covering to the students and teachers during class times, as well as made our selves available to chat with parents and students during this transition period. Our first performance will be in late spring, so you can pray for us as we pull all the details together for that. This is a new experience for all of us and we’re excited for what God will do as we serve these talented young children. We are eager to get to know the families better and seek ways to show God’s love to them, serve their children’s destiny and be an influence to the community. Keilah will also begin Ballet class in January.
HOME LIFE Home school continues to provide many challenges and successes. Judah is growing more interested in letters and phonics. Although he won’t admit it, he is bored when we’re not “doing school”! Keilah blazes ahead with her lessons and is impressing us with her new reading skills! Her excitement for learning is contagious, even Elijah practices his phonograms at the table with us. What a blessing to see their love for learning increase. We have the best “job” in the world showing the love of God through every aspect of their education! At the dinner table Judah said “I love school cause I get to learn about God”. Our children took horse riding lessons in the fall. It was a highlight of their week, and now Daisy (our family horse) is properly trained. We are seeing each of our kids passions and gifts develop and want to foster growth in each of them. What a fantastic opportunity we have daily to show God to our children and explain His love for them!

Youth With A Mission
Hello Everybody! We just wanted to introduce ourselves as we will be taking over the studio. We are Youth With A Mission, located across the swing bridge in Roaring Creek.
YWAM-Belize was birthed in 1978 by a team from the YWAM base in Salem, Oregon, USA; working in Unitedville – Cayo District. Based as a ministry on "The Showground’s" property, YWAM was known as "Project Lord" – an agricultural ministry (Long Range Development) working with agriculture and honeybees.
Presently, we run several different ministries within YWAM which include; Legacy Youth Ministries, Discipleship Training School, Project AIDS (we are currently in Comprehensive High School).
Our purpose in Belize serves the local church as well as international individuals and teams – equipping them and enabling them to fulfill Christ's Great Commission. The YWAM-Belize mandate is to fulfill the challenge of Ephesians 4:12: “…Equip the saints for the work of the ministry” and to mobilize people for world missions.
We are so grateful for the Yeagers and we know they will be greatly missed. They have poured much into our lives and we are all sad to see them go. However, it is with much excitement we look forward to this next season. Our heart is to serve the dance school where it is at right now, however, things will change a bit as we are a different people … yet we carry the same heart! Please bear with us as we learn and as we make the transition to run the dance school and serve you.
CLASSES:
·Christmas Break will begin after the 15th of December. We will re-open on the 7th of January.
·Amy Wu will be starting a Drama Class starting in the New Year. If you are interested please sign up in the studio.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or email.

Jason's goin' to Cuba
As you know the DTS and John George (one of our DTS staff) left for Cuba earlier this week. However, upon arrival at the Cancun airport the officials informed John that he didn't have the proper Mexican visas for re-entry. The DTS students went on to Cuba alone and have arrived safely, thanks be to God. There was a little mix up with pick up at the airport but all is well. All of this to say....
Jason will be flying out to Cuba on Friday. He left here here early Thursday morning to get his visas and proper documentation, met up with John to process new visas for him and the two of them will take a bus up to Cancun to fly out Friday at 2:30pm. Could you please pray for all of us!
- Jason and John's trip through Mexico into Cuba (favor, wisdom and angels!)
- The DTS students as they await his arrival (that they would have Peace)
- The time they spend in Cuba (For the team, the citizens and the duration of their time that beautiful country)
- Sara and the kids at home (it was a sudden trip and a very hectic preparation time so we're asking for special grace for the kids).
They will arrive Belize on December 2nd. Thank you so much, we love you all and appreciate your prayers of faith in this time.

Prayer Cover
I am sending out an email today requesting some prayer cover. The conference this weekend went GREAT. As you may remember it has rained for every Legacy conference since the beginning. However, Friday came and the arrival of the students.... but no rain. Saturday, no rain. Sunday, no rain. Monday morning still no rain. We were questioning if we had "missed" God somehow! John George got up to share in the last session. He began by saying "Let us recap what the speakers spoke on this weekend. Let's go over what God has spoken to us these past few days". As he said that a HUGE rain began to pour from heaven! It continued pouring rain like that for the next few hours until the campers were all gone, even then the rain only let up slightly! To us it seemed like an amazing confirmation of God's faithfulness and pleasure for these times. We were grateful for His presence and just want to please His heart. I will try to draft up a complete readout of the Legacy Conference and send it out today. As mentioned before we are requesting some prayer. It seems as though the enemy has kicked into "retaliation" mode this week. I don't believe he will sit back and be pleased with what is happening here. The conference this past weekend was incredible, lives were touched and the young people realized their authority and the love of the Father for them. The DTS just left for the last leg of their outreach (into Cuba). Things are progressing with purchasing the land, beginning with the Dance Studio. We had a wonderful meeting with them last night and feel God's grace and covering to continue moving forward. So we will, however we're feel some strong resistance. After speaking to a youth group is Spanish Lookout last night, a drunk driver ran into Jason's vehicle on his way home. Thank God nobody was hurt and Jason was in his big beastly Ford truck! (The same one that crashed after a Legacy youth worship time down south a couple years ago!) On the way home from taking the DTS to the Mexican border the van Santi was driving broke down at 1:00AM. (Jason out there helping them right now). Anyways, I could go on and on with the "symptoms" of the kick back but all we want to ask is that you will be praying for us and covering us as a ministry this week. We love you guys and are so thankful for you.

Exciting Steps

Last month we were approached by a friend who heads up a performing arts ministry in Belize. He felt his time in Belize has come to a close. However,
over the course of time he was able to attain 4.5 acres of land in Belmopan, about 10 minutes walk from the University of Belize. He asked our YWAM Belize leadership team the heart and vision pertaining to the Arts and youth ministry. While praying about who to turn the land over to he met with several other ministries in Belize. The value of this land is around $275,000us but he is willing to give it a Christian organization for $50,000us, which is basically the cost of finalizing paperwork and legal fees. This week he approached us and said that he knows YWAM would have the hardest time presenting the money but feels strongly that God wants us to have this land.

As mentioned before, we feel strongly that it is time to establish an extension of YWAM Belize into the capital, where there would be a strong focus on discipling the future leaders of our nation attending University of Belize. We know there is more God wants to impar
t to this nation with Kingdom truth. God has placed Youth With A Mission in this nation at this time, we believe there is an anointing and authority to walk in that calling. We want to take our position and stand up for this generation and believe there are things we can do to facilitate change in this nation. We feel God has opened a door for YWAM Belize and don't want to miss the opportunity to fulfill our destiny. With that in mind we have begun the process of purchasing this land. Below are some ministry ideas we feel God has given us for the Belmopan property.

Vision for the "Power Center"
This word came to my mind as we stepped foot on the property and prayed that God would establish
a work on that land that would be a "Power Center" for our nation and the Nations of the Earth. (A place where young leaders would be trained equipped and empowered for the fulfillment of their God given Destiny). We believe God will raise up a new breed of leaders in our Nation, He is building an army of young men and women of God that exist to serve the dreams of His heart and who radically impact al
l spheres of society. In time we believe that God will lead us to establish a house of prayer on this Property where young men and women will be in worship and intercession night and day before the Creator God for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Youth Drop in Center
Glancing at
the city of Belmopan we see a high concentration of young people "hanging out" before and after school waiting for classes to begin or buses to arrive. By nature this city is a hub for youth because of the many schools and the university. I do not know of any place in Belmopan where our young people can go for good recreation in a Christian environment. We believe that God will use the Youth Drop in Centre as a tool to reach out to the youth of Belmopan. This will serve as a means to bring them into an environment where there is a strong Kingdom influence. We hope that many will be restored back into right relationship wit
h God though this ministry. The drop in center will also serve as a place for our Christian youngpeople to gather and strengthen each other.

Performing Arts Dance School
We believe that in order be effective in reaching out to this generation it w
ill take a deliberate step to actively empower youth to reach youth. This generation is full of creativity, given to them by Father God, and a desire to see it used for His glory. We believe it is God's heart to see the area of the Arts be further developed in our Nation. We hope to bring a Christian perspective of the Arts, focusing on heart purity and passion for our King. Focusing on heart purity these students will gain Biblical authority and receive God's purpose for the various art forms and will bring strength as they walk in their gifting and calling. Patti has expressed her strong hearts desire to see this vision become a reality in our Nation.

Housing for UB Students
Legacy has been growing and has developed strong relationships with many of the young people and youth leaders who are presently attending the University of Belize. Students come from all other districts to attend UB in Belmopan. In the future we hope to build at least two apartment buildings on the property which will provide secure housing on the YWAM campus for some of these UB students and will help provide income for the expenses of the campus. While pursuing a University degree these students will receive strong Christian support and fellowship as well as have opportunities to enroll in various YWAM schools providing credits for a Christian degree. Automatically, by living together we will establish relationship and time
s of discipleship will take place. Our vision is to empower this generation of leaders with kingdom values and principles that will result a transformation in all areas of society. As these students graduate and take their place in different fields of calling, change will begin to take place.
