Legacy conference
From a youth leader in Belize
Here is an email we received from a youth leader in belize. All glory to God our Father~
“i wanted to first say thanks to all of you who did so much work to bring the conference together. and a second thanks to the leadership who allowed (us) to not only bring the team in for only one night, but then to trust us and let us leave the kids we brought to the conference without us there. thanks from our hearts... i just wanted you all to know that the kids came back glowing and full of testimonies. i have yet to hear them all, but in particular was (a young girls) testimony about how she came home and sold her cell phone and threw out about 10 cds. she was so overjoyed at how quickly she responded to what she felt god speaking to her and knew it was right. it was all about the obedience and she was so excited to hear from god and then respond immediately. i only wish i could have been there to experience the weekend with them. we are excited about what god is doing down this way and we know that the fruit of what our "core" kids are learning there at legacy and getting to experience has a lot to do with the ground work that is being laid. thanks again to all and we can't express our gratitude enough for your hospitality… we really do feel like family when we are there at YWAM.”

Legacy conference readout
What a privilege to be in cooperation in this hour with the Holy Spirit in doing the will of the Father. I was talking to one of the young people and sharing of the privilege that God invites us as fellow worker with Him to bring many others into that place of right standing with Him also. One must be fully surrendered to His rule as rightful King of all the earth and that is the most wise and intelligent decision we can make in our life time. First God wants relationship with us, then as intimate fellow workers with Him He makes it possible for us to represent Him accurately in this hour.
We had a powerful youth conference with young people from over 10 different churches about 80 in attendance. The times of worship and the Word were incredible. You could feel and have a sense of knowing that God was present in our midst, in a real way, reaching out to this Generation in love and kindness. Those times resulted in sessions of deep repentance and a turning to God with our all. It was amazing. This has never happened in our Legacy Conferences before. Most of the time the young peoples take some time to get comfortable before really stepping forward but right after the first secession where Pastor Scott shared, 2/3 of the young people just responded in repentance. From that point on the presence of God only got stronger. Truly it is the love and kindness of God that bring us to repentance.
One of the things I believe was great in this conference was the young people were not only making a decision based on the emotions but from a place of understanding and reasoning from the Word of God. Truth that came forth, the messages were powerful and came with much conviction from the Holy Spirit. Our heart in Legacy has always been to see young people respond from a place of truth and understanding and not just from their emotions being awakened. We all know that we were never created to make choices from the realm of our feelings but from a place of understanding reality – truth. That is what I feel was different in this conference. The young people, from a place of true understanding, were able to embrace God as the all loving and wise creator and the rightful ruler of the universe. It was beautiful to see this Generation respond to God in deep repentance, acknowledging Him not only as their Savior but also as their Lord.
By the grace of God we are seeing this Generation reached by God truth. Thanks be to God our Father, Jesus our King and the Holy Spirit our friend. We want to say a special thank to all of you who have been praying for us and standing with us to see this Generation transformed and revival come to Belize. We touched into something new in this last conference. A special thank you to all the Legacy leaders and Youth Leaders for making this conference possible, it was made possible by all your hard work.
