Thank you SO much for your prayers for Keilah and all of us the past day or so. We all HONESTLY felt your prayer covering in this really challenging situation. Keilah is home now recovering from the minor surgery performed at a Seventh Day Adventist hospital about 30 minutes from our house.
Friday night the Pediatrician met us there and confirmed our suspicions of appendicitis. By 9:00pm we were in our scrubs in the surgical room with one of the best surgeons in the country beginning the procedure. (For "some reason" he was the one they called that night!) Keilah was asleep for the entire procedure and doesn't remember a thing. God's hand was evident for the 45 minutes as I physically felt the "peace that passes all understanding" and was almost able to smile while I watched the doctors perform the meticulous maneuvers on Keilah.
We were informed that patients who undergo surgery are normally monitored for 48 hours after the surgery. Keilah and I (and many of you) prayed that we would be released early and recover in the comfort of our own home. Only 12 hours after the surgery the doctor examined Keilah and asked if she would like to go home immediately! We were overjoyed and thankful beyond belief for God's merciful hand on the entire event. Thank you to friends and family who dropped by the hospital with words of encouragement and gifts of love, emails and phone calls that poured in confirmed the love of God to us. We appreciate what all of you have done to help us through this.
We ask that you would continue to pray for Keilah as she recovers and tries to take it easy for the next few days! We also ask that you pray with us for the unexpected costs of this surgery. The total cost for the procedure was over $2600 and if you are able to help please click the donate button to the right with PayPal or send gifts of any amount to:
